The University of Blantyre Synod is Scheduled to hold its first ever Public Lecture titled Global uMunthu in the 21st Century: A Malawian Renaissance Story.
which will be presented by Dr steve Sharra.
Dr Steve Sharra is a Senior Knowledge Translation Scientist at the African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP). Previously he was senior lecturer in the Faculty of Education, and Director of Research and Publications at the Catholic University of Malawi. He holds a PhD in Curriculum, Teaching and Educational Policy from Michigan State University (USA), an MA in English Education from the University of Iowa (USA), and a teachers certificate from the Lilongwe Teachers College. He has taught from the primary school level to the university level in Malawi, Botswana and the United States. He is a Fellow of the London School of Economics Programme for African Leadership (PfAL), and a lifetime Honorary Fellow of the International Writing Program at the University of Iowa.
